MobiLink Software (version 2.02.22) (zip, 8.5MB)

This update is for the Mobile Broadband Card (XU870) on Windows and includes the following new features:

  • Support for Windows Vista 64-bit
  • Pop up notification that tells you when you are moving from 3G to 2G coverage
  • Improved frequency band selection

Before upgrading, please make sure:

  • Your laptop battery is fully charged and plugged in to mains power (to ensure neither power failure or flat battery interrupts you during the update)
  • Your Mobile Broadband Card is not plugged in to your laptop.

Installation steps:

1. Uninstall MobiLink if previously installed.  Close all applications that are running on your computer, including instant messaging, email applications like Microsoft Outlook, and media players like iTunes

2. Click on the "Start" menu, go to "Control Panel", then open "Add/Remove Programs"

3. From the list of installed applications select "MobiLink" and click on the "Remove" button

4. You'll be asked "Are you sure you want to remove MobilLink from your computer?" - click "Yes".

5. Follow the on-screen instructions from the "Uninstall" program

6. Once the "Uninstall" program is finished, restart your laptop

7. Close any applications that have automatically started, including instant messaging, email and media players

8. Download the latest Mobilink software

9. Go to the location where the new MobiLink software (the ZIP file) has been saved and double-click on the icon to open the file.

10.  Copy or extract the files within the zip to a folder of your choosing (e.g. the desktop).

11. Now run the extracted H3G.exe file.  Follow the instructions on the screen. Allow the installation program to restart your computer if required.

12. After your computer has restarted, insert the Mobile Broadband Card into the port in your laptop. Windows will detect the Mobile Broadband Card as new hardware and the driver installation will automatically start.

13. When the message "Your new hardware is installed and ready for use" appears, your Mobile Broadband Card is ready to go!
